Several years ago, I was fortunate enough to have a mural commissioned by an Egyptian princess, and I traveled to her Cairo home to do the project. Although I wasn’t allowed to photograph the work I did there, I was permitted to bring my eldest daughter along with me—and together we got to explore the incredible, ancient city of Cairo. I have never been in a place that felt so exotic and so elemental—it had almost a primordial energy. My daughter and I agreed, after our visit there, that it felt like the main acupressure point of the earth.—Andrew Tedesco
