This ain’t no Starbucks, so please don’t ask for mocha or sprinkles – like any typical Italian coffee counter you’d find by the side of a road in Italy, you can perch by the bar for the length of time it takes you to down a bitter ounce-sized short espresso, or take a latte – served in a glass, naturally – to one of the dozen tables. They serve simple breakfast every morning (a favorite is the toasted panetonne), and yummy cold cut sandwiches all day long. Sit among the generations of Italian regulars and soak up the neighbourhood’s atmosphere, or some of the Old Country vibe – the flat screen TVs play an endless slideshow of photos from the motherland.
