Although it would be easy to walk past Café Odessa and not notice it at all, locals know that this is one of the few detours that are actually worth it. With its refined and tasteful decor reminiscent of seaside Russia, with miniature sail boats and dark wood everywhere, this is definitely a crowd-pleaser.
Located between hipster Mile End and lively Jean-Talon market, independently-owned Café Odessa offers one of the friendliest coffee experiences in the city. What it lacks in space (there are roughly 10 seats) it makes up in taste, with top-shelf beans from Canadian roasters,Mont and delicious pastries sourced from a local bakery (make sure to grab an abricotine before they're gone).
Their soy latte is one of the best in towns, and their drop filter coffee is also worth any aficionado's while.
If you are hungry for more than just coffee make sure to grab breakfast at the next door restaurant Le Vieux Vélo - where they proudly serve Odessa's delicious coffee.
