Café Inka, in the hamlet of Oetlingen, Germany, got its start as a place to showcase antique Parisian wallpaper found during restoration of an old farmhouse. In warm weather, tables set out in the Bauernhof provide an outdoors alternative, wonderful after a cycle or walk through the vineyards up to Oetlingen, on the outskirts of Weil am Rhein.
The simple menu includes soups, salads, sausages and trout, but the real stars here are the delicious homemade cakes. Classics like Black Forest cake or seasonal treats, such as quark with rhubarb, go well with a pot of tea from the drinks menu. If you are a Rivella fan, try an Alpendubel, and you will feel right at home.
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00-18:00, closed Sunday and Monday.
