Café Diglas

Wollzeile 10, 1010 Wien, Austria

The food and coffee are great but, …wait till you venture in to use the toilet. The door is clear glass until you close it and then it turns cloudy and a sign says “no entry” on the door. They are located near the Stephansdom at Wollzeile 10, 1010 Wien Good food, coffee and an adventurous toilet are all nice, but now it is time to head off to the Musikverein for a stunning symphony. The theater itself is pure decadence in gold; a feast for eyes and ears, not to be missed. They are located at Lehárgasse 11, 1060 Vienna, Tel.: +43 (0)1/58979-0 Email: office@wienersymphoniker.at

A light meal at Café Diglas

In 1923 Café Diglas was opened at Wollzeile, though Hans Diglas’ original establishment dates back to 1875. It’s since been passed down three generations and has been a fixture in the 1st District. Unlike many other coffee houses which are somewhat low lit and filled with dark wood panels, Diglas is relatively bright and open. The menu ranges from salads to schnitzel, but it’s the pastries made from original bakery recipes that really take the cake.
