Cafe Chloe uses only locally grown (and mostly organic) produce to create their wonderful French-style creations. This cafe is located just outside the edge of the Gaslamp District in East Village, but it is definitely worth the walk if you are staying anywhere in the area, just four blocks from Horton Plaza. How else are you going to work up the appetite to partake in such divine food?
Not only is their breakfast menu fabulous, but I find it a treat to come here on weekend mornings and enjoy a lemon/lavender mimosa while sitting outside in the San Diego sunshine watching the world do its thing.
Southern California is fortunate to have a year-round growing season. If you're into fresh, local, organic, and good food, then you will love Cafe Chloe.
Take a quick trip to Paris in East Village at Café Chloe—a quaint little gem that sits between 9th and 10th Avenue. Whether you come for brunch, happy hour, or dinner, Café Chloe will not disappoint. With its urban, friendly vibe, this is the perfect place to have an intimate chat for hours. Indulge in their croque madame: French ham and gruyère with sunny egg and mornay sauce, and you’ll certainly be back for dinner.
