Drive past this restaurant on a weekend and you'll see a full parking lot with people lined up outside. Chef Suzanne Vizethann's Southern fare is that good. Buttermilk Kitchen, named for the all-important ingredient in regional cooking, serves breakfast and dinner but it's brunch that makes it a local favorite. They also have a monthly fried chicken dinner.
Almost everything is made from scratch and you can taste it. The fried chicken biscuit is the main attraction and is sold until they run out. The almost cake-like biscuits are split with a moist and crunchy piece of fried chicken and red pepper jelly, paired with pimento cheese grits. So come hungry and grab a cup of coffee while you wait!
