Reopened in 2014 in the city's Financial District at a grand party hosted by art patrons Vanessa Getty and Sloan Barnett, Burberry's San Francisco flagship extends over four floors of a historic townhouse. Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Bailey has created a full-wall video screen where patrons can see the latest catwalk creations in high definition as crisp as a Burberry trench while browsing the Autumn/Winter 2015 collections. Within the store, there are dedicated areas for Burberry Beauty (fragrance, makeup, and personalized appointments), shoes, and watches. The iconic scarves and handbags, like the Banner Bag and Bee Bag, as well as new ones like the new Carryall Bag for men are also draws.
Clientele skews young, beautiful, and tech-savvy. You'll find these acolytes have their favorite Burberry style consultants who get high marks for being some of the best in the city. Don't be surprised if you get a follow-up email from one of them to make sure you're satisfied with your purchase. The store is a virtual hop across the pond: Savile Row-style service meets Silicon Valley technology.
