Chapati's Ugandan style

Next time you are in Jinja, make sure you drop by and order a fresh chapati from Safa and his brother. Located just outside the gates of Nile River Explorers camp.

After working casually as a rafting guide for some of the local tour operators, these two brothers came up with the idea to serve cheap, yummy snacks to all the tourists coming to Jinja.

Serving breakfast, lunch & dinner daily, these guys make 30-40 chapatis on average everyday and 60 on a busy day!

Safa says, that the most popular chapatis are Nutella & Banana, Cabbage, egg tomato and onion.

For between 1,500- 3,000 Ugandan shilling ($0.60-$1.15 ) you can enjoy a scrumptious chapati, make a new friend and encourage young Ugandans like these boys to be entrepreneurial and start small businesses.
