Hidden Ethnic treasures in Seoul
For some reason there are many Filipinos in my life. My dad's best friend, my cousin's husband, my aunt, my old roommate, etc....and when I came to Seoul to study at Yonsei University, it was to my pleasant surprise to find out I had a Filipina dormmate.

We both loved Seoul, Korea, Korean food and culture, etc...but we both found ourselves missing Filipino food, and to our delight, we learned that there is a Filipino market in Seoul on Sundays near the Hyewa subway station.

We had so much delicious fried goodness, but also our favorite, halo halo, a Filipino version of the Korean dessert Pabinsu. Basically it is flan, taro ice cream, shaved ice, condensed milk, and some sort of honey like jelly....

It was nice to find this hidden coordior of Seoul; it was our little treasure.
