Buenos Aires Street Art

Exploring an Outdoor Art Gallery
Even in the quickest walk around Palermo Hollywood, Villa Crespo, or San Telmo, you'll spot murals climbing up walls and stencils covering garage doors. Street art is a huge deal in Buenos Aires — and thanks to relaxed local laws and a receptive public, urban artists have plenty of outdoor canvases to choose from.

But one organization, Buenos Aires Street Art, is actively developing the street art scene in neighborhoods off the beaten path. Regular tours take art-minded travelers into the heart of the action to see murals, both completed and underway, in Villa Urquiza and Coghlan — including a monumental mural by Martín Ron, pictured here, one of the largest in Buenos Aires.
