My girlfriend and I had awoken this morning on Caye Caulker to dark clouds and torrential downpours, after having recently arrived from the land of rain ourselves, the Pacific Northwest. Needless to say, we were in dire need of some Vitamin D, so we took the water taxi over to San Pedro, noting the taxi lived up to its name for we were drenched by the time we arrived. We then spent 30 minutes trying to find rain ponchos, finally finding a pair at a hardware store. We donned them, happy to have at last found shelter from the storm, and then 10 minutes later, the sun came out to deliver the most gorgeous day imaginable. The sun never looked so good.
