Danes know a thing or two about beer. After all, Denmark is the home of Tuborg and Carlsberg. One of the newer places that’s attracting real ale fans is a former iron foundry and locomotive factory in the Nørrebro neighborhood. Brus is a micro-brewery done on a macro-scale: a huge place (more than 8000 square feet) with 13 tanks to make the beer. In addition to the bar it also includes a restaurant, Spontan, headed by Michelin-starred Austrian head chef Christian Gadient who previously worked at the d’Angleterre hotel.
