Ask around town for Brunelleschi’s and you might get a puzzled look. Most of the locals refer to it as Bruno’s. It is a fabulous place to bring the family or a large group. For the kids they have a “Build your Own Pizza” on the menu and for the adults they have a wonderful selection of pastas, salads, paninis, calzones and pizzas. The portions are huge so you won’t leave hungry. My favorite pasta dish is the Fettuccini Sofia with oven-dried tomatoes, pine nuts and mushrooms in a basil-truffle sauce. I add chicken and substitute the fettuccini for gluten free penne, which is always an option. Their large bar area hosts multiple large screen TV’s that is generally playing a hockey game but if there isn’t a hockey game available they will gladly put on another game. All the staff is friendly and aims to please. The owners are there every night lending a helping hand and making sure everything runs smoothly and when it slows down at the end of the night don’t be surprised if they “cheers” you with a drink. It is part of the fun lovin’ environment they create.
