Browns Canyon, Arkansas RiverThis section of river is one of the most rafted sections, and for good reason. Whitewater difficulty levels are Class III–IV, which makes for a perfect guided trip for families with teenage kids, first-time rafters looking for a thrill, or seasoned rafters who just want to have a good time. A full-day trip will cover about 16 miles of river; along the way through the Browns Canyon National Monument, keep an eye out for mule deer grazing on the shore, bighorn sheep up along the cliffs and rocks, and birds of prey circling in the sky.
