This is hands down my favorite art-space in Moscow. The space is rather small -- three exhibition rooms plus a bookshop and café -- but the quality of the curated pieces is outstanding. The art is exclusively photography, and the descriptions and explanations are in both Russian and well-translated English. The curators tend to select more edgy works than you’ll see in, say, the contemporary collections of the Moscow state art museums, but more pulled together in a meaningful way than the shows at other city art museums. Some of their past shows have had themes such as photographing the body as protest, musicians, and relationships with photography and poetry. I’d highly recommend paying a visit here.
