Experience Norwegian nature at its most ruggedly beautiful on a guided hike to one of the most accessible arms of the enormous Jostedal Glacier. The Briksdal glacier arm flows 1,200 meters (3,930 feet) down the mountainside into the glistening Briksdalsbrevatnet, the lake at the bottom. The glacier is receding at an alarming rate, but the ice remains over 305 meters (1,000 feet) deep at its thickest point. The lush Briksdal Valley, home to bright flowers and a wealth of animals, provides several great viewing points so don't forget your camera.
