A short walk through native bush emerges onto a viewing platform, inches from the cliff edge at the top of the falls. Just by your toes water plunges 55 metres in a single drop to a pool lined by lush greenery.
Make your way down the 261 steps to the viewing bridge to soak in the views (and the spray), before climbing all the way back up again. The easy walk to the top viewing platform is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
The falls are around 30 minutes drive from Raglan. Take the Te Mata Road off the Raglan highway (SH23). Approximately 1km after Te Mata turn left into Kawhia Road, then another 4km to the reserve car park.
