Breidablikk Museum
Built in 1881 by shipping tycoon Lars Berentsen, Breidablikk is a lavish (by modest Nordic standards) example of how Norway’s wealthy elite lived centuries ago. The mansion has ornate Gothic, Rococo and Baroque-style furniture, gold chandeliers and fine chinaware and porcelain. There’s also a rustic barn which exhibits old farming equipment and horse-drawn carriages.
