Bova’s Bakery

134 Salem St, Boston, MA 02113, USA

The North End of Boston is the oldest residential area in the city, a small neighborhood inhabited since the 1630’s. It’s an understatement to say it’s loaded with character, and no other spot in Beantown will transport you to another world as quickly as this section will. Known as Little Italy since the 1890’s you’ll find The Old North Church, Paul Revere’s House and part of the Freedom Trail in the nooks and crannies that make up the neighborhood. Bova Bakery is one of my favorite spots. You can pick up a sandwich, a flakey turnover or pastry from this 3rd generation bakery as you wander through Boston’s history.
