Today is Sunday (arrrgghhh!), and tomorrow is Columbus Day so everything is pretty well closed for 2 days (smart planning on my part). So after Sunday flea markets (a favorite of mine), we thought we should see the church on the beautiful hilltop of Montserrate. When we got there with our Bogota-born driver Rafael, the lines of people (mostly locals) was over 2 hours long so we opted for a long walk into the Old City where we enjoyed the Gold Museum, ducked into a mass during a rainy spate, loved the Botero Museum (where the best part was watching a kid lose himself to dance in the rain in the courtyard), and shopped street art. Rafael was always very nearby.
