Bon Ton is a collection of old Malaysian wooden huts and buildings with thatch roofs - incredible architecture. The huts are scattered around a long pool with a restaurant at one end. Other buildings serve as great places for a snack or drink. Our hut: you walked up steps to a small covered porch with a table and chairs. A small (5 ft) door led into the main area with the bed, a daybed and a small breakfast table. Another small door led to the rear where an incredible wooden bathtub and shower highlighted a large bath. The shower hear comes from the ceiling and the water just runs through the floor. Though basic, it was really cool. With fans and a/co, the room was very comfortable. Nightly, the staff closed up, turned on the air, arranged the mosquito netting and turned down the bed. All we had to do was fall asleep. Breakfast was also delivered to the room each night. It wasn't the best, but included cake! Bon Ton rescues animals and cats have adopted different huts. Blaze allowed us to stay with him. Each night, we put the cats out. The first night, we awoke to a rustling followed by a thump from the bathroom behind us. Then, our bathroom door slowly creaked open. A second later, Blaze joined us in bed. Its a large bed and he slept at our feet - - no big deal. The next night, we had a repeat this time he didn't even wait for us to turn the lights out. After that, we just kept him in the bed with us. It was truly, Blaze's house and we were his guest. It was great!
