Restaurant Bon builds on history's bits
For various years now historical buildings of the Rumanian capital have been demolished without much respect for their past. Restaurant BON, designed by architect Cristian Corvin, symbolically denounces this phenomenon. It does so using 200 doors, windows and window shutters recovered from demolished homes that now furnish the interiors of the restaurant. Elements in some cases previously used to block access to construction sites and thus now covered in visible writing and graffiti. The patchwork was accurately assembled and enhanced by a skillful play of lights, that provides an atmosphere with a vintage charm.
