The 230-mile Bohusleden hiking trail will take you from Lindome south of Gothenburg to Strömstad near the Norwegian border. It’s divided into 27 sections, so you can walk as much or as little of the trail as you like. While Bohuslän is famous for its coastline and rocky archipelago in the west, this hiking trail in the east shows another side of Bohuslän, with beech forests and the wilderness of the Kynnefjäll plateau. The trail takes you through severals natural reserves and conservations area, so familiarize yourself with Sweden's Right to Public Access before embarking on your journey. This centuries old rule means everyone has a right to enjoy nature, even if you might be walking on private land.
