Bogotá, Bogota, Colombia
Review: Bogota’s Boheme Royal HotelThe Boheme Royal is a three-and-a-half-star hotel located in the swanky Zona Rosa entertainment district.
The hotel was within a short and well-lit walk of multiple pubs and restaurants, as well as banks, malls and shops.
We ate our faces off at the complimentary breakfast buffet. Platters of arepas, plantains, and tamales sat next to eggs, sausages and croissants. There was a cheese and meat bar, ample fruit and juices, and flavored yogurts. This was some of the best food we ate in Colombia.
The front desk staff was bilingual and outgoing. The hotel runs a taxi service that takes you anywhere in the city for about $15 USD, only $5 USD more than a regular cab. We were warned by locals that taxi safety is a big issue in Bogota. I appreciated booking through the front desk and knowing a reputable ride was only a few minutes away.
