This restaurant is great but the Crow's Nest Bar up top is even better. Great bartenders and sunsets like this seemingly every night. This is more along the lines of a Charleston Insider recommendation because most visitors do not find their way there. The recommendation is a beautiful day on Isle of Palms beach in front of the Windjammer and Apre beach into sunset at not only a beautiful inlet but an historical one too. Breach Inlet is where the British first attempted to invade Charleston at the start of the American Revolutionary War. They were repulsed there and a little further down on Sullivan's Island at Fort Sullivan now known as Fort Moultrie. This was the first major victory for the colonies and came even before the Declaration of Independence. The day is forever celebrated in Charleston and known as Carolina Day.
