Chicago Recording History
The site of the Chess Records building, where blues and rock greats like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Chuck Berry,Etta James and the Rolling Stones recorded, has been declared a Chicago landmark and transformed into the Blues Heaven Foundation, The foundation helps musicians with royalty recovery, which Willie Dixon famously wrestled from Led Zeppelin's unauthorized use of his music. You can tour the historic studio, watch a brief film on Chess musicians and in the summer, catch live blues concerts in the courtyard.
