Puerto Rican twist on Jamaican flavors
I usually wouldn't do this but while walking through old San Juan I took the advice of a local vendor to check out this jamaican restaurant in the area because they saw a Jamaican patch on my book bag. So I did. It's like why would you go to Japan and eat burgers but I was pleasantly surprised! As a Jamaican American myself, the menu was kind of a fusion of Jamaican good with a Puerto Rican twist. The staff didn't claim the term "fusion" when I asked them about the ingredients and menu but they definitely have something special going on in that kitchen.
