Birmingham Museum of Art
Birmingham has a great art museum that boasts a truly impressive permanent collection, including pieces from the Italian Renaissance, Native American tribes, African art, Asian art, and it also houses the one of the largest and most impressive collection of Wedgwood ceramics in the entire world. This lovely museum is accessible to everyone, as admission is free to the permanent collection. The traveling exhibitions usually come with a small charge, which is worth every penny. The museum has hosted everything from the ruins of ancient Pompeii to the works of Norman Rockwell. During the summer months, locals love to congregate here for Art on the Rocks, an event that mixes cocktails, music, and art.
