Bird-Watching Eidfjord Norway

With its arctic tundra and pristine wilderness, the region around Eidfjord is famous for bird-watching, and you might be lucky enough to spot some of the area's many different species from the ship. Birds such as the tufted duck, long-tailed duck, velvet scoter and common goldeneye are found here. Occasionally, the common kestrel can be seen, and the gyrfalcon, hen harrier, horned lark, snow bunting and Lapland longspur are possible sightings, too. Truly fortunate shipboard bird-watchers might even catch a glimpse of the elusive snowy owl.
