Biko is ranked one of the top 50 restaurants in the world by Restaurants Magazine, and has held a spot on that list for the past three years. While critics and diners alike praise its Basque-inspired entrees, there are plenty of raves about its dessert menu, too.
Whimsical creations like this one, made of cannoli-type shells and cotton candy "smoke" made of goat cheese are both palate-pleasing and photogenic.

Eat at One of the World's Top 50 Restaurants
Like nearby Pujol, Biko, which is not even a block from Hotel Las Alcobas, has been on the World's Best Restaurants List for the past three years. Currently ranked #37, the kitchen, headed by two Catalan chefs, features dishes influenced by both Spain and Mexico. In fact, the restaurant offers two different menus: one traditional, inflected with Basque favorites, and the other more contemporary and creative. From the latter, expect desserts such as this one, with a goat cheese cotton candy "smoke." Biko offers guests the options of a la carte or tasting menus as well.
