A Hike and Fish and ChipsHowth is a small district of northern Dublin that originally was a small fishing village. It's a great location away from the hustle and bustle of Dublin, especially if you are looking for a nice, quiet walk and some good fish and chips.
Our hostel was nice enough to offer a Howth hike our second day in Dublin. We took them up on this, took the short train ride there and started exploring. We got lucky and had beautiful weather and hiked the entire Lower Cliff Loop. Being good guides, our leaders included a lunch spot in our outing, Beshoff Bros Fish and Chips. Beshoff Brothers has been in business around 75 years and has very affordable meals. There are two types of fish and chips on the menu - Cod and Haddock. Never having Haddock before, I gave it a try and found it just as enjoyable, if not a little more, as fried cod. We took our food to go and walked over to the grassy area to sit, enjoy the sun and eat our lunches.
