Bergen Art Museum
Allow at least half a day to explore the diverse collections of Bergen’s vast art museum, spread over four buildings next to the city lake. If time is tight, note that Building 4 hosts the collection’s core, including works from Diego Rivera, Joan Miró, and Pablo Picasso. Building 3 hosts mostly Norwegian art, while a new exhibition in revamped Building 1 showcases the work of Queen Sonja of
Norway. The museum is also home to two of Bergen’s best eateries. Smakverket café is perfect for a quick lunch, and Lysverket composes its popular new Nordic menu with ingredients from the region's fjords and mountains.
