Unforgettable brunch at a hidden bistro
When my friend and I decided to visit Montreal
via train from Toronto
we also squeezed in several hours of wandering around Ottawa. It's an easy detour to make as the station will even hold your luggage for a few hours and Ottawa proper is just a short bus ride away from the train station. So we enjoyed exploring the parks and outdoor markets for an afternoon. And we discovered Benny's Bistro through Yelp. It's a cute hidden spot behind a bakery but there I had one of the most memorable brunch food I've had. A plate of house gravlax and potato salad, topped with a perfect sunny egg, and served along with an olive tapenade. The flavors complemented each other beautifully! And for someone who loves food as much as travel, this was the perfect spot for me.
