Ben Boyd National Park
Most famous for its 31-kilometer (19-mile) Light to Light trek, which traverses coastal heathland, tea-tree groves and red-rock cliffs between Boyds Tower and Green Cape Lightstation, Ben Boyd National Park also offers a plethora of day trips. Come for a swim at Bittangabee Bay—and check out the ruins of an 1840s stone building nearby—or opt for a tour at Green Cape Lightstation (advance reservations required). Look out for bandicoots, wombats, monitor lizards and lyrebirds.
