Belgrano Buenos Aires Argentina
Just a few steps away from noisy Avenida Cabildo, one of the Belgrano district’s main drags, you’ll find quiet, tree-lined streets and stylish apartment buildings plus numerous old mansions amid idiosyncratic, evocative gardens. A wave of Taiwanese immigrants came into the area in the ’80s, giving rise to Buenos Aires’s current Barrio Chino, a small concentration of Chinese restaurants, bazaars, and supermarkets that sell imported goods from Asia and around the world. The zone is especially lively on weekends, so it’s a good time to grab some street food and stroll Belgrano’s shady, peaceful blocks.
