The 90-room Beau-Rivage Geneva first opened in 1865 and since then its guest book has included both European and, more recently, Hollywood royalty. While some other iconic Swiss properties have become part of luxury hotel groups, the Beau-Rivage is still owned and operated by the Mayer family. Many rooms have views of the lake and the iconic jet d'eau, and Mont-Blanc beyond. Le Chat-Botté is the hotel's Mediterranean restaurant, and recipient of a Michelin star, while Patara serves contemporary Thai cuisine.
