Icy Strait Point is at the tip of Chichagof Island, one of three big southeastern islands that only have brown—grizzly—bears. Icy Strait Point guides lead a bear search that takes guests on a scenic walk through the Spasski River Valley, where the bears get ready for winter by eating every fish and berry they can find. Even if no bears appear, it’s a great chance to get into the forest.
