Toronto's Burgeoning Film Scene
On an everyday walk downtown Toronto, you are more likely than not going to spot a film shoot set up (or two) often mimicking the streets of NYC. Most often, its the NYC subway station and newspaper stand decoys, some of which are so convincing that even a seasoned Torontonian can mistake it for the real thing. I can't even tell you how many times i've seen the NYC newspaper stand/snack kiosk set-up on the sidewalk manned by an average Joe and seeing someone walk up to order a muffin, only to be told that they aren't a real kiosk. That never ceases to make me giggle. In this particular photo, taken outside my office building at Bay/Adelaide is the set of the upcoming Adam Sandler flick "Pixels". Always a fun experience for out-of-towner visits to Toronto.
