Bass Performance Hall
Classical in Cowtown
The Bass Performance Hall is built in the vein of a classic European opera house, and serves as the heart of performing arts in Fort Worth—and at the top of any list of Texas’s cultural venues. Located in the revitalized downtown, the structure is built from Texas limestone, and serves as the permanent home to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, and the world famous Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and Cliburn Concerts. The multipurpose facility has 2,056 seats, and is praised for its outstanding acoustics and overall ambience. Not to be missed—and not possible to miss—are the 48-foot-tall trumpeting angels that frame the entrance (aka the Grand Facade) of the hall.
