Baroque Design in a Colonial ChurchBuilt in the mid-twentieth century, the Basilica of the Virgen of Pilar is a colonial church funded by the Moreyra family of the nearby Hacienda Los Condes. Its main attraction, the eighteenth century carved wooden altarpiece, is designed in the Baroque style and is an imposing fifteen meters high.
