Went on an trip to Alaska in June, 2007. From what I had read, most people who visit Alaska travel aroud the southern shore and venture as far as Denali National Park for some sightseeing. I wanted do do something different, so I flew into Fairbanks and took the van tour up the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay . . . pretty interesting experience. From there, I had added an overnight trip to Barrow. Stayed at the Top Of The World Hotel. One ot the main highlights was the view of the Arctic Ocean. Gives a new meaning to the term "room with an ocean view."
