King Street is home to many restaurants, but chef Steve Gonzales’s ode to Latin American fare stands out: You can't ignore a place that spans 15,000 square feet and four floors. But the excellent food merits the space. Offerings here include empanadas, chorizo, and chaufa—a Chinese-Peruvian fried-rice dish. The must-order item? A flight of ceviches, an edible parade of five varieties of lime-marinated fish. Meanwhile, inventive pisco-based cocktails are practically works of art.
