Gardens of Marlborough
Plant connoisseurs will enjoy exploring Barewood Garden in Seddon and Upton Oaks, two gardens of national significance in Marlborough. The Upton Oaks gardens (pictured) were developed in harmony with the style of the 1911 villa on property—a popular feature being the multicolored 17th-century-style knot garden. At romantic and tranquil Barewood, wide verandas drip in white wisteria. Other highlights include a variety of native and imported plants, flowering shrubs, and impressive arrays of roses and irises, among other specimens.
