Rather than being a highlight about an experience I have had, this one is about an experience I can't have -at least not yet- but wish I could.
I pass by the Bar Waverly (the proper noun comes second, as per French grammar rules) every day at about five o'clock on my way to pick up my toddler from day care. On sunny days, when the sliding doors are wide open and the bar spills out onto the street, the smell of beer and the sound of easy merriment lure me into this corner establishment, but duty calls so I trot past, craning my neck in envy.
Fridays are particularly buzzy, when the game developers from uber-cool Ubisoft next door flock in after a long work week.
My advice? Stop in for a pint of a local micro brew like Boréale and drink to the freedom of being childless for me!
