My goal is to experience something new and out of the ordinary every time I travel, and that is exactly what happened when I stepped into my first Bar Method class while looking for my best serendipitous moment in Seattle Before8.
Bar Method combines yoga, ballet and palates in an intense one-hour workout session. I was the only man in the class (they ensured me that they have about 20 male members in all), and I left with a new-found respect for these ladies. The workout kicked my butt, plain and simple, and I discovered muscles that I didn't even know I had. But at the end of the session, I left feeling totally invigorated and ready to tackle my day.
There are Bar Method studios all over the country, and they welcome visitors dropping in. I'd highly recommend it the next time you're in Seattle.
