Where Locals Go for their Feijoada Fix
Recommended by a local, my first meal in Rio was traditional feijoada stew from Santa Teresa institution, Bar do Mineiro. Cariocas line up at this eclectic casual spot waiting for their fix of pork and bean heaven, which is served over rice. Enjoyed with local beer followed by a few caipirinhas, it did not disappoint. The Bolinhos de Bacalhau (fried cod balls) were also on point.
