Bak Kut TehLiterally translates to 'meat bone tea' , this popular meal consists of pork cuts like ribs simmered in a broth that may be flavored with peppercorns and whole heads of garlic or a more complex version that includes spices like star anise, cinnamon, fennel among others. Most often accompanied by stewed preserved mustard greens, crullers (for dipping in the broth) and stewed peanuts. It's cheap, hearty and delicious.
