A bit of Italy transplanted to Collingwood, Trattoria Azzurra is known both for its use of locally grown produce and as one of the town’s most romantic places to dine.
Housed in an attractive clapboard historic house, the interior is cozy and intimate.
But it’s hardly just a place for a romantic tête-à-tête. One popular feature is the “Pranzo”—a slow traditional Italian family meal for guests of six or more—including antipasto, dessert and a variety of pasta dishes (they make their pasta onsite).
Surprisingly, it’s also child-friendly.
And don’t rule out lunch. They’ve got a nice patio framed in reclaimed barn wood and the daytime menu includes an excellent grilled vegetable Panini.
