Awendaw Green
What began as a weekly “barn jam” in rural Awendaw has grown into a cultural force at the forefront of Charleston’s music scene. Today, Awendaw Green still holds an event every Wednesday at the Sewee Outpost, hosting up-and-coming bands on the outdoor stage for a sunset concert—plus pizzas from the on-site wood-fired oven. Come early to play the 18-hole disc golf course, designed by Innova Disc Golf’s management team, then pick up a six-pack and settle in. The Taj Mahal of gas stations, the Sewee also sells boiled peanuts, country ham biscuits, and all the hunting and fishing gear needed to outfit a Lowcountry outdoorsman, ensuring you’ll have plenty to browse between sets.
